I have long wondered the same, & never thought I'd meet anyone who admitted that they did this. Couple of months ago however, I did.

Turns out they genuinely seemed to think it was a responsible action:

1. they'd removed it from where others would walk in it....🧡

2. they'd removed it from where livestock would eat it.

3. they believed that the bag would biodegrade at the same rate as the bagged poo decomposed.

4. job done πŸ‘πŸ€”

Unfortunately they hadn't considered:

1. their plastic bag breaking down into microplastics... 🧡

2. that livestock (or wild animals) might eat the bagged poo anyway & thus potentially be harmed by both any parasites or diseases in the poo AND suffer a dangerous blockage by the plastic in the digestive system.

3. that the poo was not going to decompose in the sealed bag...🧡

4. that apart from anything else it was just a blight on the landscape.

We had a chat about it and I'd like to think that that person at least now will always & genuinely be a responsible dog owner.

And spread the word πŸ™
