First week working as a university lecturer in Guangzhou, China. Excited to be with those students on 2+2 programmes, half of them will study in the UK and the rest in Australia next year. More than happy to share my own experience.

First week notes: 1) students are very ‘Chinese’ and cannot follow my British way of teaching; 2) students have difficulties understanding our English textbook; 3) students are not familiar with group work; 4) students lack of English speaking and writing practice.
