On the phone, speak with confidence. If an employer asks you a difficult question, respond with confidence.

Get to work doing the right things. Spend time and effort in the right places. Figure out a system that works and then work your system!

In interviews, emphasize the positive. Emphasize the qualities that make you a good candidate for the position.

Brainstorm your past accomplishments. Believe in yourself! You might be surprised at all the cool things you’ve done but have forgotten.

Remind yourself that you have greatness. You have value to offer.

Look at your career. What have you accomplished? I’m sure you’ve done remarkable things. Don’t your current, temporary circumstances define who you are.

Slow down, take a breath, and make decisions with a level head.

Attitude over tactics. Perhaps more important than your job search strategy is your attitude. If you have the wrong attitude then tactics might not matter much.

Amazing things can happen when you realize you don’t have to do the job search alone and that people can, and are willing to, help you.

Serving others less fortunate is a great way to get you into a positive mindset. If you can find somewhere that can utilize your unique skill set, even better!

Progress is progress. Realize everything you do in your job search moves you closer to your job. It may seem like you’ll never get there but you will

Have a vision. Believe in it and work towards it. Your next job might not fulfill your vision but could put you on the right path to getting there.

In your job search you need to consistently do the right things every day until you land your next job

How do you develop emotional intelligence? Seek out opportunities and then practice. You are doing this for yourself.

It is important that you exude confidence, even if you are still trying to convince yourself that you are confident.

Three core elements to financial peace: Build your emergency funds; Build up your shovel; Reduce the hole you have to fill.

Get serious about YOUR career management. This is your responsibility and your opportunity. It’s up to you to put the work in, before, during, and after this unwanted job search.
