Turned out to be a decent evening for our annual old jersey scrimmage. Winning team got out of field cleanup so we didn’t get a team picture. We were lucky enough to get a picture of our sophomore 1st baseman however!

Good to see the boys back out of the field tonight as we opened the season against Columbus. We dropped a close 7-6. Bergman and Masteller each picked up a pair of hits and Wymore had 2 rbis. Back at it tomorrow night at South Hardin.

We picked up our first win of the season winning 5-3 at South Hardin tonight. Wymore earned the win going 6.1 in his first varsity start and Larson got the save. Kade Ries lead us at the plate with 2 hits. Back at it again tomorrow night at Oelwein.

We move to 2-1 on the season after winning a crazy marathon of a game 19-12 over Oelwein. Larson picked up the win on the mound with McHone coming in late to seal the deal.

Tough night to play and the scoreboard showed it as we dropped 2 at Wapsie. Kade Ries reached base 5x in the DH to lead us at the plate. Back at home tomorrow against Grundy Center for a JV/Var.

Battled back to tie it after falling behind early before ultimately falling to Grundy Center. We pounded out 14 hits with Kade Ries and Tyce Larson leading us with 3 each. Off day tomorrow before finishing up the week at Union Friday.

We pitched well enough to win but couldn’t get the big hit when we needed it as we lost 3-2 at Union tonight. Masteller and Ries were strong on the mound and Vogel had a big 2 out single to drive in our only runs. A few days to rest up before starting a busy week next week.

Battled all night but came up just short in the end as we lost 8-6 at Cascade. Bergman and Masteller both had two hits and Weber reached base 3x.
