I’m waking up & it feels like last night was an unbelievable dream. I went to the amazing Town Hall event w/ Colin Kaepernick & Robin D.G. Kelly for their new book w/ @keeangayamahtta from Haymarket Books, “Our History Has Always Been Contraband”! Carmen Rojas from Marguerite Casey Foundation MC’d.

Michael Bennett (Michael Bennett) was there and we got a chance to hangout and talk with Colin and Robin after the event. Learning about what it will take to stop these laws banning Black history was inspiring.

To get to have my son there learning about the decisions people make to fight for a better world meant the world to me.

I’ve been working hard to build the #TeachTruth movement, and It’s exciting to see them join forces with this book to become a new force in the struggle!
