Alford pleas require DOJ consent. In 21 years at DOJ I never heard of a case where DOJ consented. DOJ policy is that for a defendant to plead guilty, the defendant must make a factual admission of guilt. DOJ policy is to not allow someone to plead "guilty" while not admitting

The Right from 2020-September 3rd, 2024: “The DOJ/FBI has been weaponized! They lie about everything!” The Right on September 4th, 2024: “I always knew those people were dirty. Just read the indictment. Lisa Monaco wouldn’t lie.” Some boot-licking, back-stabbing losers. SMH.

Yes, I realize people have a laundry list of reasons why they’d want to believe the DOJ. Maybe it’s frustration with Right wing punditry. Maybe it’s jealousy. Who knows. But please, I’m begging you, realize that the DOJ is much more evil and dangerous to you than anyone else.

I know we live in the age where people feel the need to vomit every single thought and action onto social for the whole world to see. And they somehow think pundits should do the same. But in the real world, you should be silent about legal matters. How is this hard? My word.

And for the record, I’d assume the DOJ was lying if the person I hate the most (Clay Travis) was indicted. That’s the reputation they’ve earned.
