#STEMeducation Today we created a snowflake on monofilament thread with dry ice. Students wrote their hypotheses down and then we observed. It took about 45 minutes for the snowflake to form. UELFCRPUSD sciencefriday
It's unacceptable that in the world's fifth largest economy, our students are forced to make do with fewer and fewer resources. CTA President E. Toby Boyd outlines the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to reverse that and put #SchoolsAndCommunitiesFirst. π edsource.org/2020/voters-caβ¦
We are raising steelhead in our UELFCRPUSD classroom. The eggs are coming 3/11 and we have to prepare for our 50 new babies! Thank you Sonoma Water for a wonderful training workshop on Saturday as well as the tank, cooler and resources. My students are excited and so am I!
Great day in the garden with Sandra Knoy! Weed pulling, watering, gathering seed pods and mulching our new willow house was enjoyed by our 4/5 graders today.
4/5 graders UELFCRPUSD had a spectacular day at Fairfield Osborne Preserve! The docents were so knowledgeable and everyone had an incredible day of hands on science learning. Thank you Mrs. Straub for making this experience possible! #outdoored
Thanks Sandra Knoy! Today 4/5 graders learned about how seeds travel. Students then observed 8 different fruits with seeds and wrote in their notebooks. Of course the kids got to eat the samples! #outdoorlearning UELFCRPUSD UELF PTA

I just checked on our steelhead eggs and they are doing well and the tank in 49 degrees. I will send pictures of their development to my students and families throughout our school closure so we can keep up our scientific observations. Sonoma Water UELFCRPUSD
This is a great resource for families. We discussed coronavirus in class and I did my best to answer questions in terms children can understand. I was so impressed with my students empathy and excellent questions. UELFCRPUSD
