Nationwide study shows reduced recurrence risk in early-onset colorectal cancer (2004-2019), closing the gap with late-onset CRC. Early-onset CRC may achieve a similar prognosis to late-onset CRC with modern treatment guidelines! Aarhus University 👇 thelancet.com/journals/lanep…

Individuals with a negative colonoscopy screening may not need a repeat exam for at least 20 years, according to a study of ~200,000 participants followed for up to 32 years. The re-screening interval may be tailored based on individuals’ risk profiles. ja.ma/4hZX3fb

There is no statistical solution to the problem of causal inference from observational data, it requires good scientific & statistical judgement, & knowledge of the literature. Folks like short cuts (propensity scores, E values etc) to avoid hard thinking. Short cuts don’t exist.

There is very little evidence presented in guidelines that current recommendations for cancer recurrence surveillance improve patient outcomes. bmjoncology.bmj.com/content/4/1/e0…

Dutch study confirms findings of our Danish study (PMID: 37971197), reporting lower risk of recurrence in screen-detected vs non–screen-detected colorectal cancer patients - CGH cghjournal.org/article/S1542-…

Kan bestemte bakterier måske være medvirkende til udvikling af early-onset colorectal cancer? 🦠 jeg prøver her at kvalificere resultaterne af et nyligt Nature studie til TV2. nyheder.tv2.dk/samfund/2025-0…

Rekordmange i absolutte tal… Der var formentlig også rekordmange “at risk”… #survivalanalysis nyheder.tv2.dk/samfund/2025-0…
