Dodgy donations aside, isn’t there something perverse about politics in Wales where the head of government keeps his job after sacking a minister without evidence for leaking a message in which he admits deleting a document that should have been in the public domain anyway?

Great atmosphere at the Wrexham City Carnival today. Well done to the organisers. Rain has held off and got chance to enjoy a pint of Wrexham Lager! More to come this evening so if you can. Pop down!

The lengths that the First Minister will take to clutch onto power is staggering. When he was first elected I referenced his arrogance. Seems I’m being proven right.

I’m sure a difficult decision for Lesley Griffiths, but honourable. Wales needs a Government and First Minister that can lead for a successful Wales. It is clear that Vaughn Gething cannot do that.

We need to show we are a party that deserves to serve. Ben Houchen is correct when he says we must look to the future. Not bicker about the past and take swipes at each other.

Traffic chaos getting in and out, a new McDonalds site about 8 minutes walk from 2(!) others, near a school and with hundreds of houses (and cars) yet to be built in close proximity. I’m disappointed to see this pass. It was not wanted and I voted against.

I spoke to a friend in Southport yesterday who told me of the overwhelming community spirit shown in the wake of Monday’s attacks. The shameful scenes last night bear no reflection on that community who are simply trying to grieve and comprehend this unimaginable tragedy.
