I believe Tony Blair is not even-handed on Israel/Palestine. Thiinks developers and markets solve things. He was possibly right on former Yugoslavia, definitely Sierra Leone. But on this, he sees Arabic people in a racist colonial way.

Many progressives cannot shake inbuilt prejudice against colonised people. I believe Palestinians are still colonised. Definitely in OPTs, and in many ways since 48 and 67. Read Jabotinsky, my friend Avi Shlaim’s Iron Wall, and Ben Gurion.

Tony Blair is undoubtedly a very intelligent man, and I don’t doubt his faith but I’m not sure he’s playing an entirely helpful role at thr moment.

I might go as far as to say, that if Tony Blair doesn’t reign in a tiny bit of an ego, he’ll give us hard Brexit and a Right-Wing Tory government.
