Cabinet Member Anna Wright outlined how our budget exempts Shared Lives providers from Council Tax.

Main carers & respite carers make such a vital contribution to support adults with learning disabilities or autism.

In the past year, through the Community Investment Programme we have built 87 new council and genuinely affordable homes.

We are also buying back council home lost to right to buy, to provide housing for those facing homelessness – 143 families are now living in these homes.

Additionally, for a third year in a row, Camden Labour's budget will be investing a further £2million a year to our cost of living fund.

This will continue to help our residents most in need.

Our budget will also:
- Ensure free school meals continue for all primary school children & for secondary school children whose families receive income support.

- Invest £400,000 into school breakfast clubs, providing breakfast for nearly 3,000 children

The Family Crisis Fund will also help Camden Council maintain the provision of holiday supermarket vouchers in the face of the the Government cancelling the funding for them.

It will be an extension of the initial fund established in 2023 of £1.3m.
