Antoine Winfield Jr. is now the highest-paid defensive back in NFL history after he and the Bucs reached agreement on a 4-year, $84.1M deal, per sources. It’s the first time in modern NFL history that a safety has set this mark.

The Bucs signed running back Ramon Jefferson and defensive back Andrew Hayes after tryouts at rookie camp this past weekend. To make room, the Bucs waived defensive back Quandre Mosely and offensive lineman Logan Stenberg.

“Go to a petting zoo for Mother’s Day,” they said.

Graham Barton said he’s eager to work out with Tristan Wirfs, but he also said, “It might hurt my pride a little bit.” He said his max on a back squat is 550 but he’d like to improve.

Bucs first round draft pick Graham Barton won’t be attending his Duke graduation tomorrow because he’s at rookie minicamp. He laughed and said, “Graduation’s overrated…first-world problems.”

Bucs assistant GM John Spytek told us Elijah Klein (No. 79) was a big, barrel-chested guy, but can we take a moment to appreciate this clavicle width? His shoulders are WIDE.

Right after the draft Jalen McMillan was able to connect with Mike Evans and Baker Mayfield. Evans told him, “Whatever you need.” McMillan said he hadn’t gotten the playbook yet so Evans sent it to him immediately.

Just finished the Bucs’ first day of rookie camp and Jalen McMillan is gonna be super fun to watch. The ball just kept finding him. Had one particularly impressive leaping catch but caught five of five targets, no drops. He said his sprained MCL from last year is 100% now.
