High risk of rip currents now extends through the entire weekend.

Erin now a post-tropical cyclone as it accelerates away from the east coast, but rough surf will cause dangerous rip currents through the weekend at our local beaches.

Coastal Flood Warning remains in effect for Ocean County until 2am Sunday as locally moderate flooding is still possible along back bays during this evening's high tide.

Safest course of action is still to stay out of the water though tomorrow as dangerous rip currents impact our local beaches. Even though Erin is long gone, the water is still rough. Got multiple reports of rescues today.

After a nice evening, tonight will be clear to partly cloudy and becoming a bit more humid. Tomorrow will be partly sunny and moderately humid with a stray late-day thunderstorm well to the north and west of New York City.

Newly named Fernand not expected to bother anyone.

Beach day tomorrow, but the water is still dangerous as the rip current risk remains high.

After a spotty shower or storm tomorrow night into Monday, we're in for a September preview for much of next week with lots of sun and low humidity.

Beware of the high risk of rip currents at all of our local beaches again today.

Humidity will be briefly higher today into early tomorrow before a superb stretch of days to round out the month of August.

High risk of rip currents continues into this evening at all of our local beaches.

Tonight will be humid with some clouds and a thundershower in parts of the area toward dawn, although a shower can occur in western areas anytime overnight. Tomorrow will be humid with more clouds than sun and a stray morning thunderstorm followed by dropping humidity late.
