I am very happy to welcome Kenyatta Lovett to TN Dept of Labor & Workforce as our Assistant Commissioner of the Workforce Services Division. He’s going to help us do important, high-purpose work across Tennessee.
The State Workforce Development Board plays a key role in shaping the future workforce in Tennessee. We had a productive and informative meeting today at TCAT Murfreesboro/Smyrna in Smyrna.
It was great having Gov. Bill Lee, Eleanor Yoakum, and Brad Hopkins join us for the Tennessee Government Executive Institute panel discussion today at TN Dept of Labor & Workforce headquarters in Nashville.
Sending birthday wishes to Gov. Bill Lee
We had a very productive Tennessee Workforce Development Board meeting today and we previewed what’s to come next week for National Apprenticeship Week with a proclamation from Gov. Bill Lee. #NAW2019
It was great to see so many new apprentices at TCAT Nashville starting their journey towards becoming highly sought after skilled individuals. Apprenticeships are a proven way to fill the skilled labor gap.
I am excited to hear Gov. Bill Lee's second State of the State Address tonight at the Capitol in Nashville. Tennessee had a great 2019 and 2020 will be even better. You can watch the Governor's remarks tonight at 6 p.m. CT. at capitol.tn.gov. #TNSOTS
I am very proud to hear Gov. Bill Lee mention the hard work of seven state agencies and the creation of ApprenticeshipTN. We will build the pipeline of skilled workers Tennessee business owners need to grow our economy. #TNSOTS
Last night, Gov. Bill Lee mentioned so many great initiatives in his #TNSOTS address. In this video, I share a few I feel will have a tremendous impact on workforce development across the state of Tennessee.
I am a big fan of Hallerin Hilton Hill and always listen when I am in Knoxville. It was great to sit down with him at the State Capitol to discuss Gov. Bill Lee’s workforce development initiatives.
I secured a front row seat to hear my #ClassVI homies HodgenMainda & Jeff McCord discussing their work as TN state Commissioners. #RockStars
It’s great to see more and more apprentices and registered apprenticeship programs in Tennessee. I traveled to Waverly today to watch 10 apprentices start their program at the Nashville State Community College Humphreys County campus. Congratulations!
Thank you to Hallerin Hilton Hill for for taking the time to talk with me this afternoon in Nashville about workforce development and cultivating a pipeline of skilled workers across Tennessee.
Tonight (6/1) at 5 p.m. CDT on WKRN News 2, I sit down with BBB Middle TN and Southern KY to talk about apprenticeship programs and how they can help TN employers train their own workforce. Also, watch the segment on WKRN.com. Learn more about apprenticeships at: ApprenticeshipTN.com.
