Sapir's analysis follows similar findings in a paper published in June by German researchers who found that, in Germany, after five years, only 36% of youths with a gender-dysphoria-related diagnosis still had that diagnosis in their medical chart. researchgate.net/publication/38…

Sapir estimates based on medical claims data that 320,000 to 400,000 U.S. residents age 17.5 years and younger were diagnosed with a gender dysphoria-related condition between 2017 and 2023. The annual tally increased steadily over that time.

Sapir charted that over the 7 years of data his team had on hand, gender dysphoria related diagnoses fell out of individual young people's charts steadily.

If gender dysphoria does not tend to persist in adolescents, as Leor Sapir found, this undermines a central principle backing gender transitions. Here, Dr. Robert Garofalo, a gender MD at Lurie Children's in Chicago, expresses the philosophy that kids should lead the way:

Please don’t get excited about this. It’s misleading. Yes they say they’re accepting the findings but having watched the ministerial statement today it’s quite clear that their interpretations of the findings still aren’t clear and the ideology is still there. It’s not a win.
