Children and young people are victims of #domesticabuse in their own right. They need the right support, at the right time, to keep them safe and help them rebuild and recover. If this doesn’t happen, the consequences can be long-term and devastating.  #ChildrensMentalHealthWeek

If someone tells you they are being abused, the important thing to convey is that you believe the person. And to let them know what is happening to them is wrong. “I believe you.” “It’s not your fault.” “Thank you for telling me.” #ReachIn #DomesticAbuse #DomesticViolence

This #Valentines we're shining a light on psychological abuse. It will often follow a pattern of manipulation & involve a phase of ‘grooming’. Abusive behaviour can be interspersed with warmth & kindness, slowly desensitising the victim to the behaviour. #LoveShouldntHurt

This #ValentinesDay help us raise awareness about psychological abuse. An insidious form of abuse using personalised, manipulative tactics to frighten a person, distorting their thoughts and changing their sense of self in order to maintain control. #LoveShouldntHurt
