we invented 2 words for design & engineering but they're one & the same coding articulates design, the same way words articulate thought if anything, the limitation is designing static 2d assets for dynamic interfaces. the friction of writing code/bugs is rapidly vanishing

agents are reshaping how we work, reason & operate. so, we're hosting a design eng fireside to discuss the future of agentic interfaces ft. ilan bigio (openAI), Anna Monaco (paradigm), Liam (browserbase), Silas Alberti (cognition) & Jason Ginsberg (cursor)

truly an order of magnitude better for product and design engineers never have to worry about menu, theme, responsive bugs ever again

john adams said: we must study war so our sons may study commerce so their children may study poetry & art the productivity surplus AI generates is ours to spend on creativity and entertainment tools for “slop,” in the right hands, become tools of expression

all credit goes to Jai Smith a 🐐 among 🐐🐐 plan mode deeply changes the nature of building software. it used to be that your ideas described the product. now your ideas are the product. the gamut of software will only be more expressive as a result.

running an agent on your webpage inside cursor feels more like painting than coding. you can iterate at the speed of thought.

The question I asked every day while working on Cursor 2.0: "does this change the way I build?" It does. Cursor 2.0 is a force multiplier for speed, insight, and reliability. Its built for a multi-agent world and powered by our own frontier model.

this tweet was about Composer 1 btw. i find it to be S-tier intelligent. can solve my most difficult tasks. plus its so fast. it’s crossed a threshold where you stop noticing latency entirely. spending a lot less time scrolling twitter because of it

"vibe coding" has become pejorative, lumping together the technical, non-technical, & just plain lazy but a lot has changed in a year. today, it is simply faster to prompt than to type line-by-line the quality of your work reflects your specificity & vocabulary not "vibes"
