Ooh. Something to look forward to next week. It really is going to be Union Easter term at the Supreme Court. Mercer judgment next week, Tesco v USDAW the week after and Unite v Nexus on 14 May.

Judgment due to be given tomorrow morning in one of my favourite case names (on its 2nd trip to the EAT after the important Linden J judgment a couple of years ago), Twist v Armes.

For many lawyers of my generation, the OJ Simpson trial was the first experience of watching a court hearing. It wasn't exactly indicative of future practice but was intoxicating viewing.

Not sure where Tweet 1 disappeared to but the case is Atif v Dolce & Gabbana & the EAT found the ET erred in not shifting the burden of proof but that had it done so it would have still dismissed A's discrim claim.

Just flicking through the UK Supreme Court business plan, and my attention was drawn to this part of the plan.

Transcripts would be welcome, but it would be good also for the UKSC to follow the lead of some other courts by making submissions & bundles publicly available too.

Move over My Cousin Vinny. Curb Your Enthusiasm is now the best piece of fictional courtroom footage on screen.

A perfect episode with which to end this institution.
