Fifteen years ago I was using this park a lot as I was trying to work what to do with a baby. I love this time of year when blossom hangs off the trees and the weather is getting warmer. Such happy memories.

Apart from the ever inquisitive dogs that seemed to have no owners!

In our periodicals collections, we hold copies of Home magazine. They contain a mix of stories, household hints and reports of co-op movement events, but also ads like this colourful lingerie advert from 1963.

Digging out the horrid grass in the front garden little by little but keep chatting to neighbours so could be a while. Think I keep pulling up stuff I’ve planted and leaving weeds but the birds are singing and it’s a fine evening and I’m learning to love dandelions.

#Archive30 ARA Scotland today is #ArchiveBuildings . The Co-operative Insurance Society (CIS) Tower, completed 1962, stands at 387ft and is near the archives in Manchester. Sometimes in the reading room you can hear the peregrine falcons which nest there.

Managed to get the wrong train home though. It had changed last minute but deep in conversation and ended up at the airport. Tempted, but back to Stockport I went.
