Piglet was going to see his first Heffalump in an hour from now! Of course Pooh would be with him, and it was much more Friendly with two. But suppose Heffalumps were Very Fierce? Wouldn’t it be better to pretend he had a headache and couldn’t go? ~A.A.Milne #thursdaythought

Eeyore led the way to the most thistly-looking patch of thistles that ever was, and waved a hoof at it. “A little patch I was keeping for my birthday,” he said, “but, after all, what are birthdays? Here today and gone tomorrow. Help yourself, Tigger.” ~A.A.Milne #sharing #friends

Dill is, I think, extremely pretty, both in the garden and picked for indoors, especially picked for indoors, where it looks like a very fine golden lace #gardening gardenseyeview.com/2013/10/11/sim…

“There is a joy of childhood which one can never recapture - the joy of getting wet in the sea. A doctor said that salt water couldn’t give you a cold. Whether this was true or not I do not know, but it was splendid and added much to the joys of the seaside.” ~A.A.Milne #Sunday

Rabbit jumped into a hollow and Pooh and Piglet jumped after him. They crouched in the bracken, listening. The Forest was very silent when you stopped and listened to it. They could see nothing and hear nothing. “H’sh!” said Rabbit. “I am,” said Pooh. ~A.A.Milne #MondayMorning

“Come on, stick! Stick, stick, stick!” Piglet got very excited because his was the only one which had been seen, and that meant he was winning. “Are you sure it’s mine?” squeaked Piglet. “Yes, because it’s grey. A big grey one. Here it comes!” And out floated Eeyore. ~A.A.Milne

“I am not at all sure,” said Kanga, “that it wouldn’t be a good idea to have a COLD bath this evening. Would you like that, Roo, dear?” “I am NOT Roo,” said Piglet. “I am Piglet!” “Yes, dear, yes,” said Kanga. “You know what I told you about making faces.” ~A.A.Milne #Sunday

Pooh scrambled up as quickly as he could. “Did I fall on you, Piglet?” “You fell on me.” “I didn’t mean to,” said Pooh sorrowfully. “I didn’t mean to be underneath,” said Piglet sadly. “But I’m all right now, Pooh, and I am so glad it was you.” ~A.A.Milne #friendship

They were all ready. First came Christopher Robin and Rabbit, then Piglet and Pooh; then Kanga, with Roo, and Owl; then Eeyore; and, at the end, in a long line, all Rabbit’s friends-and-relations. “I didn’t ask them,” explained Rabbit. “They just came. They always do.” ~A.A.Milne
