Medical evacuation from Gaza continues. 17 patients have just arrived in Italy. Among them is 11-year-old Adam and his mother, Alaa. In recent weeks, they lost their entire family. Adam has a serious arm injury and needs urgent care. Our WHO/Europe Regional Emergency Director,

Adam’s father and his brothers & sisters were killed in an Israeli airstrike on May 23th. Last night Adam and 16 other patients were evacuated from Gaza to 🇮🇹 thanks to the EU Civil Protection Mechanism, World Health Organization (WHO) and host Italy. The EU — saving lives, offering a spark of hope.
