Doesn’t seem to be a record of the Box Bug (‘Gonocerus acuteangulatus’) in Teesside at all, so it’s nice to find and photograph one in my garden!

Recorded & submitted and yesterday afternoon, I received confirmation.

Wheatear having a much welcomed rest. Such incredibly beautiful birds.

Nice hour or so out with Dad Ciaran Shaman this afternoon in welcoming sunshine along ZWR saw Twite, over 30+ Wheatear, my first yellow wagtail (record shot) and a lovely singing Willow Warbler teesbirds

Giant Rainforest Mantis molted through the night, fully showing off that beautiful rich red and black ‘warning’ patches on the inner front arms.

Some cracking ufc cards coming up this year. Few I’m really eager for. Few matchups I want too.

I see them pretty much every time I walk my patch, and I love how their colours blend in with the fresh new growth on the trees.

That Dark Eyed Junco in Hartlepool would be a mega life tick! What’s the possibility of it hanging round somewhere else for a few days before It goes because I’d love to see it?
