I met with President Cyril Ramaphosa 🇿🇦 ahead of the G7 tomorrow.    As G7 and G20 presidents, Canada and South Africa are leading in the face of similar challenges and opportunities. With the rules-based system under threat, international cooperation is more important than ever.

Canada is increasing its engagement with African partners, including on the multilateral stage through G7-G20 cooperation. With Minister Minister: International Relations and Cooperation, we discussed the importance of inclusive growth, multilateralism and commitment to democracy.
