Excited to be glammed up with Mama Hinley for the Dunfermline Press community champion awards. Very privileged to be a finalist in the health and care category

I love being part of the QNIS network! Whenever you met a fellow QN, there is just an instant connection and a lovely sense of community across all of our specialties.

Great summary of a really worthwhile discussion. If the NCS can keep person-centred care, consistency across Scotland, and true co-design at its core. This could be the real catalyst for positive change (ever the optimist!)

Its the little things! For the first time in over a year, Grandad able to make us a coffee (joint effort) Usually have to ask staff, as care home cafe never stocked but it’s always the first thing he says during visits, 40+ yrs of cuppa making @ home! Some normality & empowerment

Didn’t know I could feel so energised and exhausted at the same time! Grateful to have met so many inspirational QN’s and spent time with our 2022 tribe 💙

With the way culture & society currently is, I can 100% say every single person is going through struggles & difficulties you have no idea about Even if they are smiling and seem to have “everything” they don’t. Be aware of how you view them, be kind & conscious of judgement 🦢

Having shared lots about Grandad’s dementia journey and our experience as a family, it feels only right to share that his journey has come to an end. He passed on Christmas Eve with us all by his side. We are broken, but with a sense of relief for his peace at last.

Prioritising quality of life during hospital stays is by making changes to the enviroment. Beyond proud of the older adult service here at QMH.
