I apologise for the lack of gratuitous hot Berlingo action lately. Here’s the magnificent Mr Cropley on a recent trip to the seaside.

I haven’t driven a new car for a while so my lovely colleagues at Parkers loaned me this MX-5 RF. Having switched off the annoying bing-bong noises and sussed out the screen controls (you don’t get any of this in a 2CV!), so far, so good - crucially, it feels like an MX-5.

It looks like spring. And it is spring. If only it felt like spring! Still, we are British; when the sun comes out, the roof must come off.
