(Also “Christians stole Christmas from the pagans” is such a tired trope with so very little evidence that could be considered even potentially viable)

Bud Elliott i'm of the strong opinion that college football is more than the sum of the national championship race, and I fear the current forces of reorg are clipping what's great and unique about the sport.

We should not give support or even a winking eye to the “Enlightenment” form of slavery that America wisely and painfully excised from her land. Those who supported it were unwittingly deceived by the spirit of the age, and were not being Biblically faithful.

L: The majestic beauty that is the pride of the Big Sky Conference R: The Big Sky Conference dump that ESPN ranked. This is the worst bit of journalism that I've seen today and we found out a few hours ago that two writers picked Vanderbilt to win the SEC. This is nasty work.

Honestly, this worked out for all involved. Indiana got to cap a historic season by actually playing in the first 12-team playoff. And a bunch of SEC teams got to claim victory in a hypothetical matchup that will never be played, which is their favorite thing to do anyway.

No, it would be nice if the people in charge of the best regular season in sports weren't hell-bent on hollowing it out in favor of a TV invitational.

What if I told you one could hold the following positions at the same time: • Competitive games are good • one team being power rated higher than another does not negate the current structure of conferences and paths to the post season • the regular season matters •

Based on everyone’s reactions earlier, I think we need to ask whether Tennessee is better than a hypothetical Alabama team from 2015 or so
