Being a new founder, I didn't know about SVB. What puzzled me is how reliant so much was on one single bank? Who are their competitors? Why aren't there more options? I fully respect what they've done, but even if McDonald's went bust, the fast food industry would be fine.

I really respect the move HSBC made to purchase SVB UK, but what moves can VCs and founders make to ensure that that panic never happens again?
