Labour council candidate calling for a Soho late night levy. More taxes. Taking for granted how hard it is to build good culture, and so very easy to destroy.

They are. In London we pay one of Sadiq Khan’s mates £132K a year for 3 days work. Following a big pay rise in May, she’s been off sick (but miraculously recovered every Sat/Sun to do her BBC Radio job?) and now is on holiday. Labour cronyism isn’t just in Downing Street 🤷🏻‍♂️

Pubs are such an important third space. It’s where you meet friends, partners, and people outside of your social bubble. The war on pubs will simply make a lonelier, more isolated society.

The third time I’ve booked in a half marathon thinking it would force me to train for it. Maybe next time?

We need more pubs open late. Letting out city centres be vibrant - that’s the point of a city! Don’t complain about empty high streets, and then block late night hours.

More Poundburys. More gentle Maida Vale style density in cities. A few more taller buildings in the very centre of cities. That’s the winning combination Conservatives should back 🏡
