Totally agree. I lived in London 2011-21. The decline in the late night economy is so clear. Getting a drink late a night (after a show) is a nightmare. Worse than any major city I’ve been to and definitely worse than any other “world city”.

Today, one of my favourite Labour politicians has died. Without Gordon Brown and Alistair Darling,the 2008 financial crash would have been unimaginably worse. He was never rewarded for it, but Alistair Darling did his country proud.
