Seriously, can we just fast forward to the part where football is broken off from the rest of college athletics and regional conferences exist for other sports? Because until then, everything else is going to be diminished in the service of TV execs' dream of NFL Junior.

literally nothing transparent about way House & Senate GOP members jammed a provision in insurance bill to railroad final nail through NCHSAA. It is the furthest thing from transparent & par for the course for how McInnes, Sawyer & others have “negotiated” w/NCHSAA last 2 yrs.

This all day. The corporate backing is finally there for MLB, which requires more corporate tickets than any other major sport to survive.

I’m glad the state decided to help high schools with athletic facilities. Full stop. I just find it interesting that the counties getting this funding are all tied to certain legislative leaders that made the biggest noise about the NCHSAA. 🤷‍♂️

This really pokes a hole through the "NCHSAA endowment ($15 mil that could be used) is big enough to help athletic facilities across the state" theory. This was $62 million and, although helpful, it didn't come close to helping the entire state x.com/NickStevensHSO…

This is the most likely scenario (if FSU survives tonight in Charlotte). Just watching the FSU offense against a team that got boat-raced last week by Kentucky is enough to make that case pretty clear.

We quite literally used to do this (or a semblance of it). It’s called pre-determined brackets. People hated it so much that they wanted seeding and everything that comes with it, including taking days to find out if you are in.

Did we really just watch a pair of octogenarians running for President of the US argue on national television about their golf games? God save the republic.

Just when you think you’ve seen what HS football has to offer, you go spot stats for a State championship game that saw the losing team score 41 and get beat by more than that number. Crazy day in Durham at the NCHSAA Championships! One that will go down in the history books!
