🧵On this day in 1943 Archbishop Damaskinos of Athens signed a letter protesting the Holocaust and the deportation of Greek Jews. There is no similar public document of protest against Nazi occupiers by a high profile religious leader under occupation during World War II

On the 109th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide we pray that the world will recognise this atrocity as a step towards preventing future acts of genocide.

Building on the content of the Lent Wednesday study, we are delighted that Dr James Roberts will be joining us to deliver the 2024 Margaret Thrall Memorial Lecture, entitled "A Sacrament of Otherness? Towards a Theological Anthropology of Christian-Jewish Relations”.
