1/2I had a cute conversation with an 11-year-old kid I gave a baseball lesson to this evening. Me:” did you have a good day at school?” 11U Player:”NO!” Me:”What Happened” 11U Player:” I was too excited about Baseball to concentrate.” Me:” were you that excited about our lesson.”

2/2 11U Player:” No, I want to know where Ohtani is going to end up. Where do you think he’ll go?” Me: “ Toronto. Where do you want him to go?” 11U Player: “ LA! He can’t go to Toronto! that’s in 🇨🇦! I’d have to get a passport to watch him play and I don’t know how that works”

This #ohtani sweepstakes is so interesting to me! It appears that his approach is to rule out teams that are not respectful of his values, and the culture that he comes from. He may end up going where he feels the most comfortable as opposed to the highest bidder.
