Yesterday, I spoke to my Kenyan counterpart, Amb. Dr. Monica Juma, on matters of shared interest, including our bilateral relations, commitment to lasting peace in the Horn of Africa, and building on strong momentum for the MSS mission to Haiti, including at the UN General Assembly.

We extend our deepest condolences to those impacted by Typhoon Yagi in Vietnam, the People's Republic of China, Thailand, and the Philippines. We offer our support to those impacted during these difficult times, including immediate humanitarian aid for Vietnam’s recovery efforts.

Today, we sanctioned 16 Maduro-aligned officials for obstructing competitive & inclusive elections in Venezuela & violating the people's civil & human rights. We also imposed new visa restrictions on many officials. List of new & previously sanctioned Venezuelan officials here:
