Players will tell you they want to get better… But their actions tell you everything. What you do > What you say "I want to go D1" -> Granola bar for breakfast "I want it bad Coach" -> Can't find time to train "Coach doesn't like me" -> Always needs to be reminded or told

Players will tell you they want to get better…

But their actions tell you everything.

What you do > What you say

"I want to go D1" -> Granola bar for breakfast
"I want it bad Coach" -> Can't find time to train
"Coach doesn't like me" -> Always needs to be reminded or told

If you didn’t think Marc Rardin wasn’t gonna flip that school fast with the staff he brought in then you didn’t know what he was about Bandits just doing Bandit things plain and simple

Master the simple things that requires zero talent, and do it at an elite level. Work ethic, attitude, punctuality, being organized are something’s that requires little to no inherent talent but can make a huge difference when executed at a high level.

Hitters: Sometimes you gotta be the get on base guy… Sometimes you gotta be the get ‘em over guy… Sometimes you gotta be the drive ‘em in guy… No matter the situation, you ALWAYS gotta compete as hard as you can to get the job done for your team guy! #BaseballTruth

Interesting…a guy who hit 350 plus in college w/ 23Hrs is showing bunt in a pro ball game. Yet…I can’t convince a HS hitter who hasn’t accomplished anything in their young baseball career to show bunt. The game passes guys up quick…who aren’t willing to evolve.

I’ve seen plenty of college coaches look at the high school hitter hitting .350 over the .500 hitting hitter Why?! It’s HOW it’s being created. It’s HOW it looks. .500 with 80% ground ball rate + relying on bad defense Vs .350 with hard outs + a threatening plate presence.

Nico Hoerner AVG w/RISP by year: 2019 - .450 2020 - .355 2021 - .387 2022 - .283 2023 - .302 2024 - .246 2025 - .379 How about with 2 outs, RISP? Even better: 2019 - .500 2020 - .385 2021 - .500 2022 - .333 2023 - .300 2024 - .155 2025 - .310

Winthrop University is a nice college baseball program, they finished middle of the pack in the Big South last season, 31-29 overall. They have SIXTEEN (16) pitchers who were 90+ MPH this fall, three at 95+. Extrapolate that over all the college programs in the country. Lest
