Today, my wife and I remember the birthday of one of our bridesmaids, Emily King. In 10 days, Emily will have been with Jesus for a full year. Hard to believe. Cancer is a thief. FB reminded me that Emily has been my friend since 2010, our freshman year at UM. We miss her.

Idk, I just think the “It’s a slow news day dunking on Big Eva, so I’m gonna crap on a book written over ten years ago to the evangelical world at that time and import current culture war categories on it for the purpose of dunking on it” genre of post is lame.

Can’t think of a more important cultural talking point for Christians than the *joy* of parenthood, and the acceptance of children in society. It confronts: - The sexualization of society - The destruction of the family - The rudderlessness of young men - Hyper-individualism

Hard to overstate how good and restorative this speech is. This is a vision for America and the West that is achievable and good.
