BREAKING: Former Alabama DB Jake Pope has Committed to Georgia, he tells @on3sports
The 6’1 200 DB from Buford, GA will have 3 years of eligibility remaining
“They showed a tremendous amount of want for me & I couldn’t be happier to move onto the next chapter.”
Jake Pope stood out to me after rewatching G-Day. Another guy Georgia took from the portal with the hopes of him maybe being able to contribute. From what I saw it looks like he is ready to contribute now and will be able to help this defense this year.
FOX5 1-on-1 with SEC transfer Jake Pope who played for Nick Saban, Kirby Smart, and now Dan Mullen at UNLV:
"I expect to be a top 5 DB corps in the whole nation."
UNLV's secondary is filled with power 4 transfers. Paul Guenther is interim DC / safeties coach.
