So-called fitness influencers and experts are posting videos of themselves jumping into freezing water as a sign of discipline or morality and bragging about how they cut out coffee. It's mainly there to make you feel like are not enough. Do what you can to laugh at it.

I would like to point out that this is NOT what ‘human optimization’ looks like for everyone, and the idea we should always strive for optimization is dubious to begin with. Take a moment today to accept where & who you are at this current point, & remember, you are good enough

Take the time to read through this thread if you’ve decided to take up the mantle against transgender participation in sport due to competitive advantages, but haven’t, for example, made the same complaints about those born with other biological advantages.

Awful take. Simply awful. End result in this way of thinking is elimination of transgender participation in sport, and further marginalization of one of the most marginalized communities.

Not saying PFF/analytics at large are useless or invalid at all by the way. Just that PFF is one data point amongst many and should be taken in context and with a grain of salt, as with all valid assessments. The problem lies in not recognizing it’s limitations (JJ’s points)

I know many dads who are great at using athletics to build stronger relationships and improve their child’s skills. While maybe the majority tell me “I’m just dad, they don’t listen to me” Here is what I’ve noticed the successful ones do 🧵
