Yikes! Last weekend, one of Charlotte Water's lift stations was damaged by wipes and rags, causing a sanitary sewer overflow into Lake Norman. Protect your sewers and lakes by throwing away anything that isn't toilet paper. One wipe CAN make a difference!

Did you know? Charlotte Water's historic elevated tank on Beattie's Ford has a capacity of 1.276 million gallons and sits at 897 ft high? Water tanks like this one are part of our vast regional water distribution system and allow us to bring water to over 1.1 million residents.

Charlotte Water is NOT experiencing any large widespread outages. Check with your neighbors and call 311 if multiple houses are without water. If it’s just one house, check these tips for frozen plumbing #frozenpipes

In 1922, construction began for the Vest Water Treatment Plant. Today, it serves as a historical landmark that contains original hardware as well as modern updates. Vest is the first of three water treatment plants (Franklin in 1959 and Lee Dukes in 1998) built in Charlotte. #tbt
