It's Marc Bolan's 76th birthday. In May 1965 the then-unknown 18 year-old Mark Feld marched to Trafalgar Square with Donovan, Joan Baez and others to protest the Vietnam War. I wrote about it here: andnowitsallthis.blogspot.com/2022/09/you-sa…

Shapeshifters as witches & tricksters show the interconnection of the world, the psyche as a being in flux, with no boundaries: human turns into animal, animal into human, male into female, & life is a dance between polarities that defies stasis. That is magic. #FairyTaleTuesday

Everything, really, has this quality of sacredness, but we can desecrate it at a touch. How strange man is! His touch defiles and yet he contains the source of miracles. Yukio Mishima, 'Spring Snow'

“A scrupulous writer, in every sentence that he writes, will ask himself at least four questions, thus: 1. What am I trying to say? 2. What words will express it? 3. What image or idiom will make it clearer? 4. Is this image fresh enough to have an effect?” ― George Orwell
