This will be the first opportunity for thousands of young people, including myself to take part in a General Election. Youth participation in our democracy is so important. If you are eligible to vote, make sure you do and have your voice heard. Every vote counts!

This is a historic achievement. Scotland becomes the first devolved nation in the world to incorporate the UNCRC into domestic law. Congratulations to all the young people who campaigned for this.

Best of luck to all the students across Scotland who received their SQA Exam Results today. I hope you got the results you were hoping for and that they reflect the hard work you put in throughout the year. However, exam results don't define you and there is #NoWrongPath.

On behalf of young people in Dundee, I want to pay tribute to John Alexander for his leadership. He was committed to issues that young people were passionate about - meeting with and listening to DYC and Dundee’s MSYPs over the last 7 years. I wish him well for the future.

I am disappointed in this decision from the Scottish Government. While city centre’s across Scotland struggle with an increase in empty premises, we need to encourage workers to commute into the office. Higher train fares won’t do that.

Yesterday, I took part in a panel at the #FoP2024 on sexism in the workplace. Women do not have a level playing field. Whether it is underrepresentation in certain professions, men holding most boardroom positions or the gender pay gap. We all need to be part of the change.

It was great to take part in this discussion on Wednesday. The most common age for people emigrating from Scotland is 23/24 years old. There were lots of ideas from more job opportunities to better public transport to encourage more young people to stay in Scotland.

As Convener of @SYPJustice, I would like to say that this is incredibly welcome news. The Scottish Youth Parliament had been advocating for this change. Thanks to the Children and Young Peoples Commissioner for their significant efforts on this.
