Dear Jaafar Jaafar
The people of Kano are facing an escalating water crisis. I implore you to utilize your platform, be it through your voice or your newspaper, to demand swift action from Governor Yusuf. I hope you will do this favor for the people of Kano State.
Jaafar Jaafar Diesel is expensive and electricity is now made so expensive. Insufficient paddy outputs to feed the growing number of rice companies across the country until added with the exported one. Regrettably, we may just have to continue eating rice when we can afford to.
Federal Ministry of Power Jaafar Jaafar Why do we need to segregate us in to bands in the first, and doing it by way of hours supplied, why are some people more deserving of longer hours than others.
Jaafar Jaafar So many things don’t add up in Nigeria’s voodoo economics.
Only that comes to mind is sabotage. Nigerians sabotaging Nigeria with the help of foreigners.
Jaafar Jaafar My thoughts. As i see the rice freebies this Ramadan, which is a norm in the holy month, I just think of life after Ramadan when the rice would be withdrawn from public sight. The masses, if something is not done on price of the grain, have to wait till another Ramadan.
Jaafar Jaafar Even if it was reduced to 32K, it simply Implies that a civil servant earning the 33K minimum wage cannot afford it. (Transport fare inclusive). Remember That some state are still Paying 18K minnimum wage.
Jaafar Jaafar In the nxt 3 to 4 months, if nothing is done, the price can overshoot 100k. Saddest part is that the paddy being sold at 50k is the same old paddy sold 30k some 5 months ago (it has nothing to do with $). The way forward is govt regulated importation to trigger competition.
Federal Ministry of Power Jaafar Jaafar What is the effect of this policy on the economy?
This will adversely affect the cost of production and thereby result in an increase in the price of goods and services, and that adds to the economic hardship caused by inflation, which the ordinary Nigerians face presently.
