Last week high school students joined us for a scientific workshop in our lab in the Centre of New Technologies at the Uniwersytet Warszawski to learn about protein folding and entanglements. It surely was fun!

There are four known knot types occurring in proteins, but the trefoil knot is the most popular one. On the left - our 3D printed model of YbiK - a deeply knotted tRNA methyltransferase. The knot core is in green and the Centre of New Technologies Uniwersytet Warszawski in the back.




We're hiring! 2 postdoc positions for an exciting project are opened now. It involves applying experimental data from NMR and optical traps measurements to computational studies of proteins with non-trivial topology to unravel their unknown mysteries. jsulkowska.cent.uw.edu.pl/home/availble-…
