4) About to be tagged out from behind, fall down perpendicular to the base line(Smaller target to tag) & when the tagger misses you,go back to the base the tagger was running you from.

Carson Kelly throws out Oneil Cruz with a quick(1.92) & accurate throw. Kelly makes a simple right knee up move with a slight turn to get alignment before he receives the pitch. Hoerner catches the ball deep & makes a quick one handed sweep tag on the receiving end.

Smooth arm side move by Cubs Carson Kelly in the 7th inning of a one run game with two outs & runners on 1st & 2nd. There are no little things, every pitch is important.

Anatomy of pick off by the Cubs Matt Boyd. Tommy Pham walks to lead off the 6th inning of a 1-1 game. SEQUENCE 1) High leg lift pick. 2) Load & go pitch. 3) Load & go pick.

Since MLB reduced the buffer zone, sticking the 50/50 pitch & holding it in the edge is less effective. Moving the pitch more over the white of HP is. I understand that many people don’t like aesthetics of movement but our job is to get as many stri-balls called K’s as possible.

Stellar catch by PCA in the 8th inning of a one run game against the Brewers last night This was a 5 % probability catch. The key takeaway was the roll after the catch to help secure the ball & keep it from being jarred loose on impact with the ground. “DIVE & ROLL”
