Please check out the replay of our webinar regarding storm damage from the #Derecho! There is lots of great information here that can help you manage a difficult harvest.

Received a call from a @Kruger_Seeds Sales rep reporting a black dust covering combines. This is a saprophytic fungi that feeds on dead decaying corn plant material. Premature plant death caused by drought stress followed by the recent rains have favored growth of this mold.

Have heard plenty of questions regarding cover crops following an earlier than normal harvest, and I think this article really breaks down the benefits and challenges of seeding cover crops, and provides some seeding recommendations. #CoverCrops channel.com/en-us/agronomy…

For those who haven’t seen a thread on “edge effect” this is a major source of concern in 2020. Not all border yield loss is due to off target drift. I have seen it along soybean fields, but also next to hay/CRP as well as 4 lane roads.

One of our 2020 growers planting soybeans into standing rye. This grower saw improved weed control over other fields he did not plant into standing rye. Add that to the outcomes payment, and it was win-win in this situation. #notill #covercrops #carbonsequestration

Sure is frustrating when you like the person you do business with but the company they work for has horrible customer service. Really like my American Farm Bureau agent but their customer service after a windshield cracked from a deer accident is terrible
