Thursday, Feb. 23: All Halton District School Board schools (in-person & virtual) and workplaces are closed. School bus transportation is cancelled.

The #HDSB recognizes the International Transgender Day of Visibility. Today and every day, we honour and celebrate transgender people, and reaffirm our commitment to building a community free from discrimination and hatred in all its forms.

Yesterday, Hayden Huskies held a Black Leadership Conference that included students from its elementary feeder schools. In addition to an opening speech from @CurtisEnnisHDSB, workshops were held such as costume design, yoga, slam poetry, & more. ➡️A video recap is coming soon!

Another day at another great Hugo Borges school. Thank you Principal Golightly and VP Nikolic for the invite. The school oozes innovation and inclusion, and I loved seeing Mrs. Cavanagh in the office. She was my first secretary as a Halton administrator at Forest Trail PS.
