That’s a wrap on my 15th straight NCAA team championship! Thanks to everyone for following along, supporting, and engaging. College tennis is a fantastic sport and it deserves continued growth and coverage. See y’all for NCAA individuals in November!

Tune in tonight to the re-airing of the NCAA finals! I know you’re bummed it’s a re-airing and you already know the outcome, but it will help to get college tennis on TV if there are decent eyeballs on it tonight! 🙏

The draw gods are clearly not college tennis fans… Rematch of Zheng vs. Dostanic from the NCAA team quarterfinal, and a likely preview of the US Open wild card playoff in two weeks.

I don’t know how seeding is determined, but I shudder to think if it’s WTN. If you lose Day 1 you get nothing. I’d propose a format revision: Day 1: SFs Day 2A: Day 1 winners play for USO MD Day 2B: Day 1 losers play Day 3: Loser of Day 2A vs. Winner of Day 2B for USO Q

Happy Pride Month! 🏳️‍🌈 Sports can feel unwelcoming and isolating for young gay kids — I know from experience. Seeing so many sports organizations celebrate this month, affirming everyone is welcome, isn’t just performative for social media. It’s meaningful and it will save lives.
