Send in the plows. Snowpack depth is going to be pretty impressive be end the weekend around Central Michigan with blowing snow likely to be a real issue into Sunday. Looks like strong potential for a long duration amalgam of a couple of systems with moderate snowfall rates.

Folks in the Isabella count area incl. Central Michigan U. there is a line of severe thunderstorms approaching from the southwest. Wind reports with these storms are up to 70 mph, and there have also been embedded tornadoes. Be prepared for strong storms in next 20-30 minutes #miwx

We got into big hail yesterday, a massive storm merger, 70m/s updrafts and some crazily large hailstones. Fun fact, that’s my hand holding this monster to send for lab analysis. Stone weighed 462gm (>1lb) after half an hour of rain melting. Another outstanding ICECHIP case.
