Former Cardinals Anthony Quirion & Jason Blanchard now with the Philadelphia Phillies and San Diego Padres respectively are tearing it up in the Australian Baseball League this winter! Quirion of the Adelaide Giants Baseball Club is 7th in AVG (.366) and 5th in HR (5) Blanchard has an 0.79 ERA and 0.53 WHIP with the Auckland Tuatara Baseball !!

So cool that former Lamar Baseball players and current professional players Anthony Quirion and Jason Blanchard got together “down under” in the Australian Baseball League while playing winter ball.

So good seeing this guy Jason Blanchard at Corpus Christi Hooks/San Antonio Missions game in Corpus. Former Lamar Baseball pitcher drafted by San Diego in the 9th round in 2019. Working his way to the big leagues. Missed the coveted Immaculate Inning last night by 1 pitch.

Lamar Baseball: 1) Second most wins in the country 2) swept the Big 12 Champions on the road 3) Played Alcorn State last Tuesday because the selection committee told us not to cancel the game even though it dropped us 7 spots in the RPI Our kids deserve to be in a regional!
