Wonderful day for Mobile County JROTC Cadets! We had 35 graduate and earn their wings from the National Flight Academy located on the Naval Air Station! Outstanding young leaders! Had two of my former students attend the ceremony!

Happy to represent US Army Cadet Command as the JROTC Liaison at the July Board Meeting of the national Association of Career & Technical Education (ACTE) being held in Alexandria, Virginia! JROTC is fully integrated in the CTE family!

Had a great time meeting Pillans Middle School cadets yesterday while delivering new drill equipment, robotics and drone gear, and new supplies! They were excited to see me as we start our new LOTC (Leadership Officer Training Corps)program.

Had a fantastic time delivering equipment to our new LOTC program at Williamson Middle School today! These young men were eager to help! Go Lions!

Had a great visit with the Lott Middle School Wildcats this morning! These young future leaders are enrolled in the new Leadership Officer Training Corps (LOTC) program under the guidance of LTC John Byrd! They are extremely motivated to get involved this school year!

Had a terrific time with the Blount High School JROTC Leopard Battalion today! Fantastic young Americans!

Met one of my former students while visiting our new LOTC program at Calloway-Smith Middle School today! Aaron Montgomery was one of my best during my early day’s teaching JROTC at LeFlore High School! A fine young man!

Fantastic day with our Middle School LOTC Cadets as they went on their first field trip to learn about orienteering and map reading! Even ran into this beautiful Copperhead while walking the course! Love these future leaders!

This past Friday and Saturday my cadre and I escorted 23 cadets from across the district to the University of Southern Mississippi to participate in several STEM projects and hear some awesome guest speakers! This was followed by an overnight stay at Camp Shelby!

On Saturday, Mobile County JROTC cadets toured the Armed Forces Museum on post! Thereafter we took them rappelling! Before departing for home we toured the African American Army museum in nearby Hattiesburg, Mississippi! I love my job…I love my cadets and cadre…God is Good!

Very proud of our Theodore Bobcat Raider Team for being the very first team ever to represent Mobile County’s school district at the National Raider Meet at Fort Knox, Kentucky! Go Bobcats!

Very proud of our Mobile County JROTC and LOTC cadets who represented our district well at today’s Veterans Day Parade in downtown Mobile! The rain held off and those who attended had a great show as the city paid tribute to our nation’s veterans! Great job cadets!

Our Mobile County LOTC cadets are rocking as they compete in their first VEX IQ Robotics Competition! A big thanks to Denton Magnet Middle School and Barton Academy for hosting the event!

Had a fantastic time with our LOTC cadets from Pillans and Washington Middle Schools today at Blakeley State Park where they were introduced to orienteering! Great job to all who made this happen!

Very Blessed to still have former JROTC students take time to meet with their old LT Colonel! Kaneisha Peters and Ariel Hollins make an annual lunch date with me this time of year! So proud of them both and the young women they have become! Merry Christmas to you both!
