This #YouthHOPEMonth, we are discussing runaway and homeless youth and solutions to end youth homelessness. coalitionforthehomeless.org/runaway-youth-…

According to City data 7 people approved for supportive housing by HRA last year died before getting it. There were thousands of empty units. So, sure, more supportive housing. But we also need deep reforms to the barrier-ridden access process for getting into it.

"But only 114 of the 3,500 homeless people displaced ...moved into temporary shelter... No one was placed in permanent housing." Contrary to Mayor Eric Adams 's rhetoric sweeps are strictly about Broken Windows & control of space. Nothing to do w/ helping ppl. gothamist.com/news/nyc-says-…

Mayor Eric Adams uses sweeps to clear homeless people from the streets & subways. But there’s no actual data that shows this helps people get housing. Instead, the data here shows that no one was connected to permanent housing & the city wasted $3.5 million+: gothamist.com/news/nyc-says-…

Sweeps are inherently violent & harmful. They are a coordinated effort between city agencies during which homeless people are forcibly removed from public spaces & their survival items are confiscated, often destroyed. Please read below to understand why we need to #StopTheSweeps

This is disgusting! Especially since youth homelessness is the worst it’s ever been due to his cuts to services and lack of compassion.
